About Us

Our hospital aims to provide the Parkes community with routine and emergency pet and livestock care.

At Parkes Veterinary Hospital our veterinary team can assist you with education, advice and care to ensure your pet has the happiest and healthiest life possible. We provide a full range of services and medical facilities for the diagnosis and treatment of dogs, cats and other pets. We truly believe in continuing education so we are regularly updating our skills and knowledge in order to keep informed on best practice therapies and procedures.

Consultations

Visit us for all your pet needs from general consultations and health concerns to vaccinations and preventative medicine treatments to help keep your pet in great health.

Surgery

Many of your pets surgical needs are met by our brand new facility including desexing, wounds, lumps and bumps and many more. We pride ourselves on providing quality anaesthetic care and recovery.


Medical

Our hospital features in-house laboratory testing, an A.I powered microscope with 24hours pathologist access 365 days a year, digital radiography and ultrasound to best help your pet. 

Home Visits

We are able to provide in home services for clients with mobility issues or for those that prefer to have private, end-of-life visits for their pets in the comfort of their own home.


Large Animal Services

Consultations and Emergency Visits

We provide services to cattle, sheep, horses, goats, alpacas and the odd pet pig occasionally. Our veterinary team have had many years experience working with a variety of animals from pet horses to stud and racing throroughbreds, commercial and pet farm animals and miniature pet pig desexing!

  • Surgical & Medical Treatments

    We can provide gelding surgeries, lump removals, wound repairs as well as colic treatment, tend to sick or lame livestock and more to help get your horse or livestock animal back to health.

  • In Clinic or Farm Visits

    We can see horses at the clinic for radiographs, wounds, lacerations or general health checks. We also provide farm visits for livestock for pregnancy testing, calving concerns and herd health checks


Emergency

If you have an emergency during business hours, we will provide attention as soon as possible and no booking is required. Where possible, ask someone to call ahead and let us know you are on your way so we can be ready for you on your arrival.

For non-emergency issues, please use our standard booking methods.

Alternative Contacts
  • Our after hours services may be limited due to staff availability and this is difficult to schedule as a routine availability. We appreciate your understanding whilst we build ourselves over time to try and provide this service for you.

  • Please call our hospital if you have an emergency out of hours. We will provide directions on alternative clinic details who may be able to see your pet or large animal during the night or on weekends when we are unable to provide a service.
